It is much more common in Spanish-speaking countries for students, especially in elementary grades, to attend a private school, often sponsored by a church or with religious ties. You will visit a private school in Madrid and find out why it was founded, what it looks like, and what kinds of classes it offers.
Colegio is a false cognate. It means "school," not "college" or "university."

- Make list of the different rooms and facilities of the school that are pictured. For each, write an activity in Spanish that you think students do there. (modelado = sculpting, informática = de computadoras, capilla = chapel, sala = auditorium or hall, actos = drama, natación = nadar).
- On your list, put an X beside the rooms above that your school also has.
